I am a human geographer working at the intersection between Cultural Geography and Development Studies. I am mainly interested in the changing relations between space, power and politics, and the concrete manifestations of these relations in form of political and economic regimes and orders, mainly (but not only) in the Global South. This includes a keen interest in the contested construction of authority, legitimacy and morality which I research largely through qualitative methods. Amongst my current research interests are: the role of voluntary standards at global production sites, moral economies of labour and cooperatives, transformations in the Indian tea economy, as well as ethno-regionalism in North-East India.
